With a horrible president returning to power today, I wanted to tell you all a story of joy. In 2021, my college best friend, Alena Morales, was on one of the most beloved disability podcasts of that time, Alice Wong's ''Disability Visibility.'' Alena, who has multiple disabilities herself, and is a person of color, decided to take on the mission of advocating for a Disability Cultural Space on the UC Berkeley's campus. Despite some opposition from Berkeley's administration, Alena's goal was achieved. Alena's story is a testimony to the saying, if you set your mind on something, anything is possible.
